Umoja now includes applications available to the Member States of the United Nations, in alignment with the Secretary-General’s commitment to Management Reform, and enhancing accountability and transparency on how the UN manages its resources. Member States’ applications currently include:

• The Member States’ Contributions Portal, which provides comprehensive and timely information about Member States’ contributions through a user-friendly interface that is also available on mobile devices;


• The Budget Information Pilot, which has been made available to Members of the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions, as well as Members of the Fifth Committee, to facilitate review and understanding of the Secretary-General’s budget proposals; and,


• The Member States Portal for Uniformed Capabilities Support, which provides Troop and Police Contributing Countries (T/PCCs) with secure and private access to claims, reimbursements, and memorandum of understanding information related to their deployments in peace operations. The portal further facilitates the exchange of important information in areas such as training, policies and procedures, troop requirements and other related matters, which will significantly empower current and prospective T/PCCs on aspects related to uniformed capabilities.


• The UN Secretariat workforce portal for Member States provides vital insight into the UN Secretariat workforce composition. The user-friendly interface comprises a variety of visual graph and table-based reports on staff and demographics, as well as monthly snapshots to support trend analysis and determine the geographical representation status of Member States. Users have access to information about the Organization at large, as well as specific country data.
